In this course, you will get an advanced overview of the features and functions of the Cisco ONS 15454 MSTP and you'll learn to perform many of the tasks required to successfully turn up an ONS 15454 MSTP network.

You will learn how to install internal connections and provisionable patchcords, so protected circuits can be installed using optical channel client connection and optical trail. You will learn how to configure the Muxponder_2.5G_10G Card and 10 Gigabit transponders, provision the add-drop multiplexer (ADM-10G) subnetwork, configure optical protection, and install protected time-division multiplexing (TDM) circuits. You will examine how microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) technology enables the mesh network, and you will configure a two-ring mesh network and install protected circuits. In addition, you will learn how the Raman amplifier works and configure a two-node Raman amplified network.
