OMSTP1 - Cisco ONS 15454 MSTP from Installation to Protection Release 9.2 DWDM

Length Price Cisco Learning Credits
5 days $3,995.00 40

In this intense and hands-on course, you'll gain the skills necessary to deploy a Multiservice Transport Platform (MSTP) network, including fiber-cleaning techniques, fiber test requirements, and node turn-up. You will learn to deploy linear and ring dense wavelength-division multiplexing (DWDM) topologies. Using Cisco TransportPlanner (CTP), you will design a DWDM network and use the output to configure the Cisco ONS MSTP Node. You will also cover:

•Multiplexer and demultiplexer cards
•Amplifier and transponder cards
•M12, M6, and M2 shelf types
•Terminal, amplifier, and Reconfigurable Optical Add-Drop Multiplexer (ROADM) node configurations
•Linear, wavelength selective switch (WSS)-based ring and single-module ROADM (SMR)-based topologies
•Three types of DWDM circuits
•2.5G and 10G transponders, both protected and unprotected

What You'll Learn

•Connect and configure a Cisco ONS 15454 MSTP chassis
•Identify node configurations according to card population
•Characterize the role of CTP in turning up an MSTP network
•Provision 2.5G and 10G protected and unprotected DWDM circuits using Cisco Transport Controller
•Perform performance monitoring, alarm verification, and fault isolation
•Provision DWDM circuits using Cisco Transport Controller
•Provision M12 WSS and M6 SMR nodes in ring topologies
•Perform Raman amplifier initialization
•Isolate optical network issues
