MCITP-DB - Database Administrator Boot Camp

Length Price
5 days $3,995.00

Become certified on SQL Server 2005.

This Boot Camp provides the opportunity for IT professionals to obtain the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS): SQL Server 2005 certification and the Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP): Database Administrator certification, two of Microsoft's new generation of certifications introduced to better reflect technology and job-role skills. Existing MCDBA (SQL 2000) candidates may also attend this Boot Camp to upgrade their certification. All the exams to become certified are included in the Boot Camp as well as one free retake voucher for each exam if needed.

You Will Take These Exams:

New MCITP Candidates:
All MCITP candidates must first complete the requirements for the MCTS: SQL Server 2005 certification (one exam). After earning the MCTS certification, new candidates earn their MCITP: Database Administrator by passing two required exams.

Exam 70-431: TS: Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - Implementation and Maintenance
Exam 70-443: Pro: Designing a Database Server Infrastructure by Using Microsoft SQL Server 2005
Exam 70-444: Pro: Optimizing and Maintaining a Database Administration Solution by Using Microsoft SQL Server 2005

Existing MCDBA (SQL 2000) Candidates:

If you are a Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), you may upgrade to the MCITP: Database Administrator certification by taking one upgrade exam instead of the two MCITP exams for new candidates. MCDBAs must still obtain the MCTS: SQL Server 2005 certification as a prerequisite.

  • Exam 70-431: TS: Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - Implementation and Maintenance
  • Exam 70-447: UPGRADE: MCDBA Skills to MCITP Database Administrator by Using Microsoft SQL Server 2005

Should any student fail the initial exam, he or she will be eligible to receive a second exam voucher.
