My thoughts on the CCNA class are all positive. In fact, I had a job interview the week after completing the class and was given a written test to complete. Over half the questions were on networking and my interviewing panel indicated that I was the first candidate to successfully answer most of the network support questions. Over 90 applied for the position. I am grateful to say that I was hired on April 1st and must credit Paul Smith and Computer Data for preparing me. Paul did an outstanding job presenting the course material and made the class anything but boring. The course materials were very good and will serve as a great reference.

Even after four years of college at U of M, Adam from PDS said that Paul was one of the best instructors he's ever had:
I thoroughly enjoyed the CCNA Workshop and would recommend it to anyone wanting to get a CCNA Certification. There was such a large amount of information covered in such a short time, but as long as you have some previous experience with networking devices and Cisco, this class was very beneficial. I did have some CCNA training approximately 6 years ago, but never followed through with my certification. The Course Material from then compared with the material now, was a night and day difference. The material from this class was so much better organized and summarized into bullet-points of information. It was very easy to pick up the key terms and concepts from this new material. I greatly enjoyed the layout of the class. I am currently in college and will be graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from U of M this summer. Of all my courses and materials studied, I would be hard-pressed to find an instructor that I've had that could compare to Paul Smith. He was an excellent instructor. Not only was his command of the material superb, but he also presented it in a way that the rest of us could easily grasp and remember. Beyond that, the work experiences he shared with us that directly related to the material helped securely root his teachings to real-life scenarios that we could relate to. I plan to continue my education with Cisco in the future and would be greatly interested in knowing if there were any other classes that Paul instructed.

Greg Posey was an amazing instructor; perhaps the best instructor I've ever had for any formalized Cisco Training. Instead of "getting back to you" for most questions & follow-ups, Greg's skill-set & quick-thinking allowed for us to experiment and test theories in real time. Also, the way he went through the labs was extremely refreshing when compared to Cisco training I've attended in the past -- it was extremely refreshing to see him do the labs with us at the same pace and document the exact commands entered to get them done.
Russ, like many others, keeps returning to Computer Data for advanced instruction because of the deep knowledge our instructors like Damon have:
The AVVID class was simply great. This is the second class I have taken from Damon. As I said in my last review, I would be surprised if there is another instructor in Michigan with the level of Cisco voice/data expertise that Damon has. He's the best! Damon is very friendly and was very generous with his time (again). We stayed until about 9pm every night (M-F) working on whatever voice technologies that I requested. The course materials were very good too. I can't think of any specialized training that I need right now, but I hope to take a couple more classes from Damon throughout the upcoming year. Thanks!
